We do not deliver therapy directly. Instead, we assess applications and, where eligibility criteria are met, provide funding to enable access to qualified, independent therapists.

The MHW Foundation may be able to support individuals who:
Are experiencing poor mental health;
Are suffering poverty or financial hardship;
Are unable to afford access to private, regulated therapy or counselling;

If an applicant is referred to a therapist, confidentiality between the individual and the therapist is governed by the therapist’s professional and ethical framework.
The Foundation does not access or receive clinical session notes. Trustees are only provided with information necessary to make funding decisions.
The only exception to confidentiality would be where there is a legal or safeguarding obligation, such as a risk of serious harm.
